HII-Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII - TSD is currently seeking a Computer Systems Architect 3 (Senior Systems Architect) to work out of their Huntsville, AL office. The selected candidate needs to understand an organization's current server and network architectures, standards, future technology plans thoroughly, and recommend emerging trends for both hardware and software infrastructure according to their research. The Senior SA needs to be able to analyze and provide reviews on the magnitude of shortcomings and shortages in information systems, approaches to mitigate risks, resolve security alerts, and preempt possible adverse outcomes of identified weaknesses. Included in architect's responsibilities are diagnosing production problems and providing technical, strategic and procedural support to their organizations. They also assist in resolution implementation.
The selected candidate must have the following to qualify for this position:
â€¢ Experience in assessing, designing, development, and deployment of applications within a national network
â€¢ Understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
â€¢ Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users after understanding their needs
â€¢ CCNA Route and Switch or higher
â€¢ Security certification or higher
â€¢ Palo Alto firewall configuration, operation, and maintenance is a must
â€¢ CISCO 7K/9K switch experience
â€¢ CISCO VoIP experience (CUBE configuration, basic CUCM configuration and operation)
The preferred candidate should have the following:
â€¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
â€¢ QoS policy creation
â€¢ SD-WAN management
â€¢ CISCO VoIP configuration and troubleshooting experience
â€¢ CCNA Security/CyberOps
â€¢ PCNSE certification
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
