This position will be in support of multiple mechanical analysis projects supporting our customers. The engineer will provide technical solutions and lead the design, integration, and installation of sustainment projects. The engineer will perform finite element analysis of mechanical and structural components and systems, to include dynamic analysis. Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.
Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Masters in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with minimum of engineering experience 2 years or a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 4 years of experience
Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance
The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
The candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Aerospace or military experience are definite pluses.
The ideal candidate will have experience with
or similar finite element program, and SolidWorks.
Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred
