Our Finance consultants help clients optimize all elements of their finance organization. This high performing team guides clients in effective overall financial management as well as performance management for a portfolio of acquisition programs.
The Advisory Federal Financial Management team possesses knowledge of core operating environments of finance functions for a wide range of organizations. Individuals typically have experience with budget formulation, budget execution, Program Objective Memorandum (POM), variance reports and Unliquidated Order (ULO) reviews. Guidehouse advisory associates also aid in improving transactional and decision support processes, enhancing underlying technologies, and refining organizational designs required to make individual processes more effective and operate in an efficient matter. Other core competencies include strong written and presentation skills as well as change management capabilities.
The team member will support the clients’ Program Manager in the coordination of financial operations in an acquisition and program management environment.
Eligible to receive a Secret Security Clearance
Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
5-9 years of related work experience in the DoD Financial Management environment demonstrating the ability to problem solve and think critically, both individually and in a team environment
Excellent organizational and written communication skills; capability to clearly and succinctly define problems and outline solutions.
Demonstrated ability to offer solutions and the business impact to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Familiarity with the U.S. Marine Corps or U.S. Navy Financial Management Business Processes
Experience with DoD acquisition processes and programs
Experience developing briefings for senior level audiences
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Level II Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)
Secret Clearance Required
