As a FOREIGN MILITARY SALES CASE WRITER at the NH-0301-3 level, some of your typical work assignments may include :
Serving as case writer for Foreign Military Sales programs and as such has responsibility for developing and coordinating Security Assistance programs within regulation and guidance.
Processing, staffing, and counseling on Letters of Request; gathers price and availability data, and authors Letters of Offer and Acceptance.
Liaising with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Army Major Commands, the National Security Agency, industry, and other U.
S. government entities. May occasionally interface with the foreign customer / supplier.
Identifying goals and objectives in the development of the case master plan and conducting reviews on the status of assigned cases.
Monitoring logistical and financial data to ensure program is on track.
Preparing and maintaining country-specific security assistance management files and reporting data.
Planning for and executing FMS documentation.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

You may qualify at the NH-03 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications :
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 / GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below :
Experience with U.S. National Security and missile defense policy and strategies and missile defense programs.
Experience with Foreign Military Sales and case management.
Experience dealing with international organizations or international partners in government to government or customer-provider relationship.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.
g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
