Summary About the Position: Serves under the general supervision of the Senior Commander (SC) who also serves as the Deputy Commanding General for Developmental Testing (DCG (DT)), and Executive Director (ED). Provides direction, coordination, integration and/or matrix support in the execution of work with all elements within the command and external agencies. Ad-Hoc Situational telework may be authorized. Responsibilities Direct a complex administrative program with the responsibility for the oversight, direction and guidance in the integration of operations. Continually review organization for efficiency of operation. Evaluate overall work integration and results between the Headquarters and the subordinate activities. Oversee the establishment of priorities and reviews project milestones developed by subordinate staff for assigned programs and specialty projects. Exercise delegated authority to speak for and represent the Command Group on a myriad of subjects. Track and direct the overall daily schedule of events within the Command. Travel Required Occasional travel - Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is up to 10 percent on an annual basis. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and directing operations directly affecting the accomplishment of a multi-faceted Research Development Test and Evaluation organization and/or a Department of Defense installation; building and orchestrating collaborative partnerships across diverse multi-agency organizations to develop and achieve strategic objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
